Kong Kong Evacuees. Commonwealth

Treasury have submitted claims for December £13,442.18.3. January £14,509.3.6., and February £13,375.8.5. all in Australian currency duly certified by Maughan.

Presume that these amounts will be paid to the High Commissioner for the Commonwealth of Australia in London.

Details will be forwarded on receipt of reply to my telegram of 20th May, 1942 No. 702 but the approximate amounts for maintenance allowances etc. is £5000.
